Clockwork

[2017-2018] — Clockwork has got to be my favorite fashion series to date. This series saw my illustrations evolve in a manner that I previously didn’t think possible. The fashion and accessories conceptualized in this series forms Papa Oppong’s core aesthetic; futuristic, voluminous, aggressively stylish and effortlessly artistic. Merging machine with woman, this series was a sort of playful interpretation of the disembodied voices of our digital assistants. A sort of exaggerated envisioning of apple’s beloved “Siri”, if you will. On average, each illustration took about a week and a half to finish. Clockwork is truly a body of work that is very close to my heart and took the longest time to complete.
